if you wanted to play slide on a guitar that lists for $8,000, would you use a diet coke can? paul jackson, jr. did. and prs could still smile in the background. this guy deserves recognition for more than "american idol".

johnny hiland. mere words can not express the wonderment of his playing. i'd heard of him, but never heard him play before this. boy, what i was missing! and he's a great guy - all weekend, he talked about just about everything but himself.

we should all get such joy out of playing. that's a johnny hiland signature model - another one i fear i'm doomed to own someday.

mark tremonti and myles kennedy of alter bridge. i'd never really heard them, but i was impressed. they brought it hard on "rock and roll". complete with rock star poses!
